For aspiring chefs and curious culinary minds, we offer cooking classes to guests staying at Yates House. Taught by innkeeper Dixie Yates, our small cooking classes offer friendly, personal instruction. Learn more about food, food preparation, and wine while enjoying a night or a weekend at our award-winning inn.
Yates House classes are "hands on" not "observational". This means you will practice the skills necessary to make food. You will not be on a stool observing and listening.
Classes are available from November 1 until April 15 each year. There may be periods when Dixie has prior committments that will limit her availability.
Customized Classes for our Missouri cooking school can be arranged just for your group of two to six participants. Skill levels, food preferences, and time constraints will be considered.
